This is not about having the right script.

It is about being ready and willing in normal, everyday moments. God is already at work in people’s lives. You are simply stepping into that.

    What this shirt opens up

I Have Decided usually leads to a simple question: “Decided what?” That gives you a natural way to talk about following Jesus and what that has meant in your life.

    How you could respond

    Keep it simple and real:

    • “I have decided to follow Jesus. That became real for me when…”

    • “It does not mean I have everything figured out. I am learning to trust him with my life.”

    • “It has changed how I think about my purpose and what really matters.”

A simple way to say it

You don’t need a formula, but if you’re unsure what to say, try something like this:

    1. What you decided / believe… “I have decided to follow Jesus…”

    2. When it became real… “That became real for me when…”

    3. What it means now… “It does not mean I have everything figured out, but…”

    4. What has changed… “It has changed how I…”

Something like this could be your response…

I have decided to follow Jesus. That became real for me when I realized I could not fix things in my life on my own and needed him. It does not mean I have everything figured out, but I am learning to trust him with my life. It has changed how I think about my purpose and what really matters.

Questions that help open things up

You do not have to force anything. Just stay curious.

    • “Do you have any kind of spiritual background?”

    • “Have you ever thought about what you believe about God?”

    • “What has your experience with church been like?”

    Keep the gospel clear

You do not have to say everything, but keep the center clear:

    1. God created us for a relationship with him

    2. Sin ruptured that relationship with him

    3. Jesus lived, died, and rose to restore what was ruptured and bring us back to God

    4. We respond by turning to him and trusting him

    5. The relationship is repaired and life to the full begins

    Remember:
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

These are women in the Bible who trusted God in really difficult situations. One story that stands out to me is Esther, who risked her life to do what was right. It shows that God works through ordinary people in powerful ways. That encourages me to trust him more in my own life, even when things feel uncertain.

    How you could respond

    Keep it simple and real:

    • “It just means I try to be someone who prays and brings things to God.”

    • “Prayer has become an important part of my life and how I handle things.”

    • “It reminds me that I am not on my own, I can go to God with anything.”

    3. What it looks like now… “Now, I try to…”

    4. What that changes… “Because I believe God…”

Something like this could be your response…

For me, being a prayer warrior means I try to bring everything to God instead of just carrying it on my own. I started to take prayer more seriously when I realized I did not have control over everything in my life. Now I try to pray regularly and talk to God honestly. It matters because I believe God hears me and is actually involved in my life.
