Women's Ministry

Serving the Women of Crosspointe and our Community for Christ

The desire of the Women's Ministry at Crosspointe is to connect with the women of C3 and the surrounding communities to help them walk with Jesus in a way that will transform their lives and the lives of those they touch.

Women's Ministry offers Women's studies, a mentor/mentee program for women and teens and a calendar of social events, and stand alone activities.  Women's studies generally meet on Monday evenings beginning at 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. Women's Ministry offers a robust selection of studies that encourage women to engage the scriptures throughout the week.  Study styles include Precept, book club, and workbook led assignments.  Studies are offered quarterly with registration and material purchase available online and in class.

Use the Women's Ministry Calendar for links to all events, sign-ups, and activities.  Simply click the event to learn more.  All of the Women's Ministry electives are open to our C3 ladies as well as the women of our community.

Epic of Eden-Isaiah (10 Week study) Dr. Sandra Richter (Meets every other week)

Often named the fifth gospel, the book of the prophet Isaiah has more to say about Israel’s coming Messiah than any other Old Testament book. Brilliant, courageous, uncompromising, this prophet declared that the year of the LORD had come and God’s people needed to either step up, or stand down. Indeed, when Isaiah spoke, kings trembled. But too often, when Isaiah speaks today, God’s people have trouble hearing. Why? We often miss the larger context. In The Epic of Eden: Isaiah, Dr. Sandra Richter takes

participants back to the eighth century BCE. This study explains Israel’s religion and economy, explores the definition and role of the prophets, and helps us to apply the message of this great champion of the faith to our lives today.

Women of the Word (8 week Study)- Jen Wilkin

We all know it's important to study God's Word. But sometimes it's hard to know where to start. What's more, a lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of Scripture. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and sustain our passion when reading the Bible? Women of the Word has helped countless women with a clear and concise plan they can use every time they open their Bible. This book will equip you to engage God's Word in a way that trains your mind and transforms your heart.

    MONDAY EVENING Starting September 19, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  Moms Connect (For Moms with children ranging from pre-birth - 2nd Grade)

Rest and Release (8 Week Study)by Courtney Joseph (Meets every other week)

Because we do not rest, we miss hearing God’s voice. Psalm 23 comes to mind. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” If Jesus needed alone time with God, then certainly we do. Just think of the wisdom He wants to impart to you, the strength and the peace you may be missing out on. Give yourself permission not to have your to-do list all checked off in order for you to rest and get alone with God.

    WEDNESDAY MORNING Starting September 14, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Acts Part 1 (9-week study) Precepts Upon Precepts

Learn how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and from their examples, how you too can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace His power in your life. Be encouraged by the results of faithful servants holding forth truth in a dark world; watch as the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.

Gospel on the Ground- Kristi McLelland (13 week study)

Come along with biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland as she unpacks the life of the early church in the book of Acts and shows us that the kingdom of God is always on the move, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to a world searching for true fulfillment and hope. Explore the call of Jesus to His disciples then and to us today. See how God's Word can sustain us even in the most difficult of times and embrace the transformative grace we experience as children of God in His kingdom of celebration.

Case for Faith (8 week study)

In The Case for Faith, bestselling author, journalist, and former atheist Lee Strobel turns his investigative skills to the most persistent emotional objections to belief in God--the eight "heart barriers" to faith.

    • Since evil and suffering exist, a loving God cannot
    • Since miracles contradict science, they cannot be
    • Evolution explains life, so God isn't needed
    • God isn't worthy of worship if he kills innocent children
    • It's offensive to claim Jesus is the only way to God
    • A loving God would never torture people in hell
    • Church history is littered with oppression and violence
    • I still have doubts, so I can't be a Christian

This bestselling book is for those who may be feeling attracted to Jesus but who are faced with difficult questions standing squarely in their path. For Christians, it will deepen their convictions and give them fresh confidence in defending their faith to skeptical friends, or during the hardest of times, when they have to defend their faith to themselves in moments of doubt.
